There are moments on my creative journey that feel almost magical—the photoshoot for my collection Mycelium Interwoven was exactly one of those moments. Inspired by the hidden growth of mycelium, spreading unseen beneath the earth and occasionally breaking into the light, we designed a photoshoot that visually captured this essence.
Inspiration: Hidden Growth Meets Visible Innovation
Just as mycelium grows invisibly beneath the soil, only occasionally becoming visible, my designs were presented in a dark, mysterious atmosphere, accentuated by carefully placed spots of light. These highlights symbolize the sustainable and innovative possibilities that fungi offer to fashion and the world.
The Team: Creating the Editorial Shoot & Fashion Film
Together with the talented photographer Patrick Houi and his assistant Leon Grunau, as well as the models Flor Ramirez, Ray D. Bui, and Ria Fei, we created atmospheric images that vividly captured my concept.
The fashion film, directed by Alexandre Weber Martins, vividly illustrates how mycelium symbolically brings my designs to life through its growth process. The film intensifies the core message of the collection—the deep connection between humanity, fashion, and nature.
Anastasia Boukli complemented this vision with makeup that beautifully highlighted the subtle aesthetics of the collection, reflecting both the natural depth and the magic of nature.
A Sustainable Statement
For me, this shoot was not merely the realization of a vision; it marked a milestone in my journey as a designer. It tangibly demonstrated the essence of my brand: innovation, sustainability, and a conscious connection to nature.
Thank you to everyone who made this day truly special with your passion and dedication!
